contests sinnoh and hoenn part two!

part two shall explain the aspects of each contest and what to do in them.

HOENN

in hoenn contests, where each rank is in a different place(except for emerald),there are two rounds.round one, visual and round 2,appeal moves.
in round one,you will send out your pokemon.depending on how high its condition is,thats how many hearts that come out of it.giving it an aspect scarf boosts that by 1 heart.

in round two, you'll have to use moves to gain hearts.there will be five turns, and moves can have effects like "perform first next, try to dazzle others, oblivious to dazzle"etc.some moves can correspond with others when the next turn comes.if you use rain dance in this turn, you can perform water sport the next turn(corresponding move) and this is called a combo move.you'll gain about six extra hearts from this.when a correct move aspect is performed, the audience excitement goes up by one.if it is four and you perform a correct move, its your lucky day,you get many extra hearts!

time for tabulation.your scores for visual and appeals will be tabulated and the winner is awarded the aspect rank ribbon.

SINNOH

sinnoh contests are way different!there are now three rounds, and harder than hoenn ones!round one-dress up,round 2-dancing and round 3-moves!if you want some practice in each round first,go to the practice counter.

in round one, you'll be given a theme and one minute to dress your pokemon up to match the theme.accesories are stored in your accesories case.(to obtain some accesories,go for a walk with a cute pokemon in amity square.after 200 steps,it would have found some accesory or berry.bring your pokemon for a massage at veilstone to obtain one accesory per massage or trade in berries for some accessories.)depending on the contest rank, you're told to put more and more accesories on it for the same time limit(e.g,normal=5 acc while super=10),so it gets harder.so in this version of visual, not only does your condition matter, your sense of fashion also matters if you know how to match the theme.so collect lots of accessories first!

in round 2,its time for a dance.your turn will be last.on your touch screen, you'll see 4 multi-colored buttons, each with a different direction on it.on your first screen, your opponent will perform 3-4 moves.the touch-buttons the player used appears along the music timeline,at the bottom of the top screen.once it has finished dancing, you'll have to follow what it did.touch the correct button when the "small jiggipuff arrow" touches the parts on the music timeline where your opponent pressed.for example, when the jiggypuff arrow comes to the green button on the time line because your opponent pressed the green button at that time just now,you should also press the green button exactly at that time.on the music timeline, any contestant can press any button they want at any time along the timeline.(which is what you have to do also in your turn)

in round three, you'll have to impress the judges with some moves.there will be three judges to pick from, dexter, jordan and keira.however there are 4 contestants,so its also a game of luck that your opponent does not pick the judge that you picked.if you perform a correct aspect move to the judge,his/her voltage(sinnoh's version of audience excitement) goes up by one.combo moves also have been removed and these have been replaced with moves which have,"if no one/everyone chooses the same judge as pokemon,+15 hearts" for example,or "gives you three extra points the next turn and none this turn".if no one picked your judge,+3 pts,if one did,+2,if two did,+1 and if all did,no extra pts.

at the end, your 3 points are reflected in 3 different coloured bars along a big bar ,so that you can also see which one didnt you do well in.
